No kids, no hubby, so no blog of my own at this end of the world.
Greeting from the ATX! I am a month into my last semester of classes in grad school. You know how they always say to enjoy it because it goes so fast, well I wish it would go faster! I love the stuff I'm learning but I'm ready to be an adult again with an adult job wearing adult clothes. My heels and my work slacks stare sadly at me from the closet everyday! Hopefully they will get more use next semester: I will have a full time internship (read: full time, unpaid job) and then in May I will graduate! Hopefully for the last time, although I feel like I've already said that once ...
I got home from China just about a month ago and I think it has taken me that long to recover. A helluva ride, but it was way exhausting. I did some stuff, and I wrote about some other stuff, my friend posted some of that stuff here. I even got to catch up with some Indiana ties! I had dinner with Greg and made sure to watch Christina Loukas compete in the 3m diving. One cool thing I did that I don't think I wrote about was check out the gold medal soccer match between Argentina and Nigeria. One thing it was not, however, was cool! It was hot as hell, so hot that this is an actual commentator from somewhere in South America or maybe Spain (Spanish speaking at any rate):
As you can see, he is not wearing any clothes.
When I got home there was a flurry of activity! First up, I got a new niece, she is PERFECT! Adelyn Kathleen Woessner, my brother is a very proud daddy and mommy and baby are doing great. I am counting down the excruciantingly slow days to October 10 when I will RUN home to meet her.

Next up, I headed out to Colorado for a friend's wedding. (Vanessa, for those of you who have made the trek west) Man, there are a lot of great things about Austin, but fall weather is not one of them. Oh how I miss crisp September football nights!!!!! The ceremony was outdoors, the backdrop was the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak and we took our wedding party pictures on cruiser bikes. Killer, right?
Last I am working on a project right now that I am really excited about and it's all about awareness so I will spread the awareness here too. I'm working with the Texas Civil Rights Project in a new pilot program called the Safe Schools Initiative. We are creating a curriculum to take in to the classroom to educate junior high and high school kids on bullying and harassment especially directed at students who identify as LGBT. It is a really great program and one I feel really fortunate to be a part of!
Hope you ladies are wonderful. Kristy, I want to know how la réception de mariage en France went?

The bikes are quite a bad-ass idea.
And you should have a blog...do I really ever write about Matt? Didn't think so.
Great update! Congrats on all! Awesome program you are working on too! :)
Suz- Adelyn is adorable! I was checking out some of the pictures online and I love the one that you posted. Looks like she's going to take after mom...that middle finger already looks like it will get lots of use! :) Glad to hear things are going well. -Sarah
