WWHSD? (What Would a Hoosier Swimmer Do?)

I'm sorting through stuff before I move to Fort Lauderdale in two weeks. The Indiana Swimming park and Varsity jacket is on the chopping block... Do you have yours? Should I keep it? These seem to have some value, if not sentimental. What have you done with yours?

I never received my varsity letter jacket so I have not been carrying that through three moves in the last four years, BUT I do own two parkas and I have been moving them around for this reason.

1. I'm a packrat. I also own every short and wide long sleeved swim meet tshirt in XL. These are wildly unflattering and alos induce instant PTSD memories of frat boys at bars pointing and staring at our big shoulders.

2. Future theme parties. Who was always the coolest kid at theme parties? The one whose mom/dad had saved some terrible relic from their past that had somehow recycled itself enough to cool or even more ridiculous than it started. Aidan and Baby Kastl to Come will think you are the coolest mom ever! even more than they already do :)

Hey Maggie,

Speaking of our IU parka...I just used mine for the first time since 2003 this past weekend. We got a foot of snow over night on Saturday and on Sunday morning, I put my parka on, shovelled some snow and then matt and I sled down our back yard :-)

as for the letter jacket...i'm not sure that made it back to Boston with me after graduation :-)

Hugs,
-Kristy

I alway's imagine shoveling snow in it one day. I think I've decided to keep it, to keep that dream alive :)

I like Suz am a packrat, therefore I have 3 parkas, two are mine and one is Megan's. I have my letter jacket, and my IU warmups. I still keep them all, maybe I'll do something with them...maybe not. I can't bear to part with them of course, just in case I might need it.
