It has been WAY too long. I thought of my Hoosier Family a lot this past week as I checked on the results from Big Tens, as I'm sure many of you did. Nothing like taking the Championship back to nasty PU where we started it all! Looking at the times and what is considered an A or B cut is CRAZY FAST! Really, a 4:42 in the 500 is only a B cut!?! I'm so glad I'm not competing anymore, sort of. Seeing the times, reading the results, makes me miss you girls so much!
I just finished my 3rd season as the girls swim coach at Bloomington North. Unfortunately, we didn't get anyone qualified for State this year, but all of my girls (except for one) swam best times at Sectionals a few weeks ago.
This wonderful economy may be hitting me quite hard in the next few weeks. MCCSC has to cut over $4 million to meet our budget. It's estimated that 75 teachers will lose their positions and if you have 5 or less years experience (which is me) you're at the highest risk. So I'll find out in the next couple of weeks whether or not I'll have a job next fall and, if I do, where that job will be. If it turns out that I'm unemployed (yikes!) it'll be a sign that its time to go back to school (double yikes!). I'm having enough trouble getting back into "student-mode" for 2 continuing ed classes, let alone going back full-time!
Well, I guess that's about it from my end the world. As always, if you're ever in B-town, you've got a place to stay! Miss you all!

That budget stuff is stinky, hopefully they understand the intangible value of having FIDO on their staff!!! I hope everything works out for the best for you!
