Flying Pig Marathon
Cincinnati, Ohio-May 4, 2008
4 hours, 41 minutes, 6 seconds
I completed my goal to run a marathon yesterday! It was the hardest and most exhilarating thing I have ever done! I did it through Team in Training (I highly recommend if you are going to train for any endurance event). I think all those years of swimming when I was younger paid off-because my lungs felt great the entire way. My legs/feet are another story! :) I have the full recap (if you are into the gory details) on my blog! I am pretty sure I am retiring from the sport of full marathons!
Not nearly as exciting as all the baby news (seriously, stop or I am going to drink the water too!! :) :) )--but I thought I would share! Oh and I have to say-I was way excited that I beat my goal time of 5 hours and 30 minutes set by Katie Holmes in the NYC marathon last year! ;)
Take care! :)Charlene

Congrats Charlene, I know I could never run even half that far. It's been great learning what's going on in your life, keep the updates coming!
